The Yoga Retreat
Nearly 3 months of everyday Yoga does this to You . You
learn to travel through the amazing life force within your body , push through
the pain , let sweat like sweet salty raindrops drip from your body; realize ,
relate , reconnect , relearn how to take long never ending " in
breaths" ;
Bow down in humility , stretch out in strength, lie down in
happy baby pose and let go in total body relaxation.
My half an hour drive to reach my place of pilgrimage
"The Yoga Retreat " in South Lake is the best thing that happened to
me in a very long time. I long to reach there like a child would to the
playground.
And the glee / glow comes through an hour and sometimes 75
minutes of Vinyasa flow.
The credit for my devotion and joy of practice goes to the
most dedicated and skilled Yoga instructors that teach in the studio including
the owner of the Yoga Retreat Ranjeeta Sarangi . She herself is a Master on her
own right practicing yoga since she was a child .
Warm , welcoming and serene , as I roll out my mat and lie
close to the beautiful hardwood floor, I feel an immediate connect to the core
of my being and to the surroundings around me. And that unique feeling lingers
on for the rest of the day.
The space there grounds me like no other. The space there
binds me like no other .
The space there has brought in me a new meaning to the
sacredness of being,
to the call of discipline ,
to the take on of challenging ,
& to the comfort of relying .
In our class this morning these are the words of wisdom that
was eloquently uttered by Ranjeeta as we were going through some challenging
poses
"There is pain , there is peace .
You choose !
If you choose peace pain becomes insignificant;
If you choose pain there is no space for peace."
