The Greater Design
The Greater Design
Let it all come together,
the design
the structure.
The towering height.
What is design but a vision
So also is structure
but sketches
With shape, form, matter.
The engineering, the technical literature;
that goes with it,
The concrete,
the steel,
the knots,
the bolts.
Is that all?
The reason for it to look a certain way,
The reason for it to be there.
Man the creator
An expression of his own greater creation
Running parallel
Vivid manifestation
Lifting his pride
Beyond imagination.
That towers over him
Mute in its magnitude
More faith on his offspring
that colossal
that child
that other
He lets it stand
Totally assured
Shall not fall
He would have his hopes high
On his child
to never fail
Faultless creation
Offspring
Faulty himself
His belief
Limited,
But in the greater design
Of things
In the continuum
That compounds in silence
Nothing towering, no self-doubt
Creeping.
In the larger scheme,
But the semblance,
Be it pitfalls, be it doubts,
All stands tall,
Powerful architecture
Design by default.
